Virginian-Pilot: Rep Taylor’s First Bill Would Outlaw Housing Discrimination Based on Sexual Orientation or Gender Identity

Bill Bartel of The Virginian-Pilot reports on Rep. Scott Taylor’s (R-VA) newly introduced bill that would amend federal fair-housing laws to add two categories of individuals (based on sexual orientation and gender identity) to protections that already forbid housing discrimination based on sex, race, religion, national origin, disability or familial status.
