September 19th - Trustee Reception with fmr. Congressman Jim Kolbe (R-AZ)
Former Congressman and LCR member, The Honorable Jim Kolbe (R-AZ) and his partner, Mr. Hector Alfonso opened their home to Log Cabin Republicans Trustees. Admission was free for current National Trustees as a part of registration for the Spirit of Lincoln Awards. To become a Trustee, click here.
September 20th - LCR PAC Reception
The 2011 Log Cabin Republicans Spirit of Lincoln PAC Reception helped Log Cabin support the pro-equality Republican champions who make victory possible. LCR PAC is a critical part of Log Cabin's mission to build a stronger, more inclusive GOP. Guests included Senators Susan Collins and Scott Brown and Representatives Judy Biggert, John Campbell, Charlie Dent, and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen.

Log Cabin Republicans are proud to support leaders who act with the courage of their convictions, who believe in basic fairness and that freedom means freedom for everyone. To honor Republicans who uphold these principles, Log Cabin bestows the "Spirit of Lincoln" Award.
The Spirit of Lincoln Awards Dinner was headlined by repeal champions Senators Susan Collins and Scott Brown, as well as Representatives Richard Hanna and Nan Hayworth, freshman legislators who have distinguished themselves as allies since coming to Congress in 2010. It is particularly fitting that these awards were bestowed on September 20th, the day that "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" officially ended.

Politics isn't everything! Log Cabin Republicans are known nationwide not just for supporting the Grand Ol' Party, but for throwing great parties, as well.
