Issue: HIV/AIDS

Log Cabin Republicans work hard to improve the nation's response to HIV/AIDS. This disease remains a deadly danger here in the United States and around the world. Log Cabin believes there must be a coordinated response to deal with this problem. The battle against HIV/AIDS must be a team effort including local, state, and federal governments, pharmaceutical companies, the health care industry, HIV-AIDS service providers, AIDS activists and individual citizens. There must be shared responsibility in both prevention and treatment. Personal responsibility must be matched with corporate responsibility and a commitment from all levels of government to do everything possible to deal with this crisis.
