Log Cabin Republicans of Texas is the home for gays and lesbians who want to make a difference here in Texas and across the country.  We share the goals and vision of Log Cabin Republicans nationwide.  We believe in fiscal responsibility, low taxes, limited government, strong defense, free markets and personal responsibility.  We also believe all Americans have the right to liberty, freedom, and equality.

Log Cabin represents an important part of the American family — taxpaying, hard working people who proudly believe in this nation's greatness.  Our mission is to educate the Republican Party about concerns and issues facing the gay and lesbian community.  We are a constant reminder that the GOP must continue to be a party of inclusion.

By forging new ground and opening new doors for the gay and lesbian community, Log Cabin has the unique responsibility to go where no other organization is willing to go.  Log Cabin stands up against those who preach hatred and intolerance.  We stand up for the idea that all Americans deserve to be treated equal-regardless of their sexual orientation.

We build trust with Republicans, support those who support our mission, and stand up against anti-gay and exclusionary moves by members of both parties. We are the front-line of communication between our community and the GOP.  We educate local GOP candidates and officials, endorse and financially support GOP candidates for office, and advise and lobby Republican elected officials on issues important to gay and lesbian Texans.

Our members have worked on the campaigns of candidates for office throughout Texas and Congress who are inclusive in their viewpoints.  We attend and host fundraisers for Republican candidates who believe in an inclusive “big tent” GOP.  We have many members who are precinct chairs to further our influence and expand the reach of the Republican Party in Texas.  Our members are involved in all levels of government to ensure we have a voice.  We work hard to ensure that the community knows about Republican candidates that support us on our path to equality.
