President George W. Bush
Forty-Third President of the United States

Vice President Richard B. Cheney
Forty-Sixth Vice President of the United States

Councilwoman Carol Schwartz
D.C. Council - At Large

The District is governed by a Mayor and a 13-member Council. Each of the eight wards in the District is broken down into several Advisory Neighborhood Commissions (ANCs), which consider a wide range of policies and programs affecting their neighborhoods in order to present positions and recommendations to the Mayor, Council and city agencies. The ANCs are composed of members elected from Single Member Districts (SMDs) within the ANC boundaries. You can use the DC Government's Address Report function to determine what Ward, ANC and SMD you reside in.
