Dear Republican,
Thank you so much for joining Log Cabin Republicans of D.C.!! We need all the help we can get in our often lonely and frequently chastised effort to persuade the Republican Party to return to its civil rights heritage as the party of Lincoln by eliminating sexual orientation as a basis for discrimination.
I hope that you will actively participate in our organization by attending our meetings, lending your labors to those activities in which you have an interest, and providing as much financial assistance as you are able. While basic annual dues are only $65 ($30 for full-time students) - which includes membership in the National Log Cabin organization - any additional amounts you are in a position to give will enable LCR-DC to advance an aggresive and ambitious agenda of activities and programs for our members.
Unfortunately, as you know, Republicans are a very small party within the District, as well as within the gay community. Consequently, our current financial resources are tight, and we appreciate all of the support we get from our members, both in money and time, to help make our chapter a leader in the Log Cabin organization, in the D.C. Republican Party, and within the political arena of the District and the gay community.
