Log Cabin Republican National Convention Speakers Urge GOP to be More Welcoming of Gays

In an interview with the Washington Blade, McCain Campaign Chief Steve Schmidt makes the case for the Republican Party to be more inclusive of gays and lesbians, going on to say that he's "personally supportive of [marriage] equality for gay couples and I believe that it will happen over time."

Separately, blogger and daughter of 2008 Republican Presidential Nominee Meghan McCain also reaffirmed her longstanding support for marriage equality on Larry King Live.

Schmidt and McCain will both be addressing this year's Log Cabin Republicans National Convention, speaking on how the Republican Party can rebuild itself and become a Party of the future.

Click here for more information about the dynamic line-up of speakers and the great dialogue going forward to making the Republican Party the majority party by being more inclusive.

This year's convention is not all about speeches and meetings. Join Cindy and Meghan McCain at the home of former Congressman Jim Kolbe for a tour of wines served at historic moments in American history.

Also, take time to get out and enjoy the best DC has to offer.
